Bal Vatika

Bal Vatika is an initiative in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) to promote early childhood education for children aged 3 to 6 years. It aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the importance of foundational learning in the early years. The program, introduced in select KVs, focuses on holistic development, including cognitive, emotional, physical, and social aspects.

Key features of Bal Vatika in KVs:

• Curriculum: Play-based and activity-driven, with a focus on developing foundational literacy and numeracy.
• Learning Environment: Child-friendly, with a mix of indoor and outdoor activities to promote learning through play.
• Teachers: Trained to manage early childhood education using innovative teaching methods.
• Parent Involvement: Parents are encouraged to participate in the learning process and understand child development better.
